It is provided to comply with the United Kingdom's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the European Union's ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC (as amended) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device on subsequent visits and to remember information about your activity. Our position on third-party cookies

isp6 does not use any third-party cookies on this website. We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, marketing, social-media, profiling or behavioural-tracking technologies that read or write cookies on your device. No personal data is shared with advertising networks or analytics providers via cookies. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, to track you across other websites, or to deliver targeted advertising.

The cookies we do use

We use only the minimum number of first-party cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver the service you have requested when you sign in to your isp6 account. Under Regulation 6(4) of PECR and Recital 66 of the ePrivacy Directive, cookies that are strictly necessary for the provision of an information-society service explicitly requested by the user are exempt from the prior-consent requirement. We rely on this exemption for the cookies described below; we do not set any non-essential cookies, and therefore we do not display a cookie consent banner.

The cookies set by this website are:

1. session is a first-party, HTTP-only, secure cookie containing a signed JSON Web Token that identifies your authenticated session after you sign in via the magic-link email flow. It is required to keep you signed in as you move between pages of the platform; without it the service cannot function. The cookie is marked HttpOnly (so it cannot be read by JavaScript running in your browser), Secure (so it is only ever transmitted over HTTPS), and uses an appropriate SameSite attribute to mitigate cross-site request forgery. It expires automatically after twenty-four hours, and is deleted from your device when you sign out.
2. XSRF-TOKEN is a first-party, secure cookie containing a randomly generated token used to protect form submissions and other state-changing requests against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks, in line with the OWASP Double-Submit Cookie pattern. It contains no personal data, no identifier that links to you, and no behavioural information. It is purely a per-session security value. It expires automatically after twenty-four hours.

Both cookies are first-party cookies set by the isp6 domain you are visiting. They are strictly necessary for the secure operation of the authenticated areas of the platform (signing in, placing orders, managing your IPv6 allocations) and cannot be disabled while you are using those areas. If you choose to block these cookies in your browser, the authenticated parts of the website will not function correctly.

Cookies and personal data

Where a cookie contains, or links to, personal data (for example, the session cookie, which carries a signed token tied to your account), the underlying processing is governed by our Privacy Policy. The lawful basis for setting strictly necessary cookies is Article 6(1)(b) UK/EU GDPR (performance of a contract: providing the account-based service you have requested) and, where relevant, Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests in the security of our service, such as the CSRF token).
